The initial consultation can be in the comfort of your own home (COVID safe and PPE protocols followed) Alternatively a private consultation room in Cork Cancer Care Centre can be reserved. Feel free to invite your own existing stylist if that helps things.
At this initial meeting I will go through a step by step of the services I offer and answer any questions you may have. This appointment is to familiarise ourselves with one another, and aims to make this experience as comfortable as possible.
There is a huge range of medical hair replacement and accessories - and choosing can be difficult. That is where I come in. I will go through human hair and non-human hair replacements, styles, colours etc. There will be an opportunity to try some on and get the feeling of both and look at different styles. If we decide on one, it will be sent by my manufacturer to me directly, and it will be ready for you on the fitting day.
The day of fitting is the next step and I will have spoken to you about this on our initial consultation about what this will entail. I will fit your hair replacement and do any cutting styling and tweaks. It is very important your hair replacement fits you correctly and to do this I might need to customize by hand stitching the base so it is neat and comfortable. This doesn’t happen every time but is essential if the fit is not perfect. Also we will go through the aftercare, and if needed, look at some headwear. This appointment in all takes about an hour and a half. We can also go through paperwork if needed.
I provide a drop and go service where you can drop your hair replacement to me and I can wash and style it. I also advise you on your next steps when hair replacement is no longer need e.g. cutting styling and colouring and overall care if your hair is to grow back.
I want my clients to leave feeling they are once again confident in their appearance.
This for me is the most important part of my service, and is one of the primary reasons I love what I do.
